I realize that retailers and economists are extremely concerned with the prospects of this holiday season, and there is certainly plenty of rumbling of stores and malls pulling out all the stops to get shoppers to max out their credit cards.
However, I just got back home from spending an afternoon and evening out with my wife. The holiday decorations in the stores and the malls didn’t surprise me too much (although I do remember the days when the decorations came out immediately after Thanksgiving…not the week before Halloween).
But is it really necessary for Santa Claus to be on the job in the mall before Veterans Day?!
