A recurring theme, I hope, among the posts I’ve made to this blog is that I am dissatisfied with the two major political parties in the U.S., and I don’t see much hope of the minor parties becoming viable alternatives any time soon.
I am a fiscal conservative, social liberal kind of guy, and I know that I’m not the only one. I wish there were a viable political movement representing my interests, or at least that there were a bit more moderation in Washington.
Sadly, I lack the time and resources to make my wish a reality. However, I do at least have a voice via this website. So, I shall use it.
Within these pages are a few ideas that if I were starting a new political party (or re-tooling an existing party) I would like to see become planks in the party platform. These are ideas I have written about previously, and include both federal and state issues close to my heart. If they are a little insurance-heavy, well that’s because of what I do for a living.
If you’re a politician and want to adopt a few of my thoughts, please feel free.

One of my college roomates jokingly formed what he called the “Radical Centrist Party.”
The older I get, the more I like the idea!

Libertarian…eh? I’m more fiscally conservative than socially liberal…so I stick with the old white men. Hate being an apologist for all their other weird views, thought…
