Thought for the Evening

Thought for the Evening

You know, I have a really weird collection of interests.

You see, I flew to Seattle today to attend a conference this week.  This is my first trip to Seattle…or Washington State.   So, I’m not only picking up two counties (King, plus a ferry ride to Kitsap), but this is the first new state I’ve picked up in (I think) 10 years.

I’m running out of states to collect!  (I tried my darndest to get to Oregon this trip, but corporate travel policies and train schedules won’t permit.)

Of course, this means that we need more states….and that lead, in my poor, somewhat deranged mind, to another thought:

With Dems having done so well this election cycle…I wonder if there will be a ramp-up in efforts to grant statehood to the District of Columbia, or to get Puerto Rico to vote for statehood.
