Actually, it’s hardly over. There’s a second judicial bribery scandal involving Dickie Scruggs that is in the process of unfolding in Hinds County, MS, the difference there being that the case was actually “fixed” by Scruggs’s lawyers, with the help of a former district attorney. That’s being widely reported in the media and on the blog where I write, http://www.folo.us. There are also rumors that this is all the tip of the iceberg. I can’t tell about that, but there are a few more turns of the wheel on this before it’s through.
