Seen at CNN, the South Carolina Dem primary results:
With 86% of the precincts in:
- Obama — 229,775 (54%)
- Clinton — 114,636 (27%)
- Edwards — 79,538 (19%)
- Kucinich — 462 (0%)
So, presumably, this is it for Edwards?

Grats to Obama. Even though I’m a GOP guy, I can see the charisma & inspiration that people credit towards him. However, he pulled a vast number of the black vote, while nearly none of the white vote.
According to MSNBC, the white vote went:
Edwards 40%
Hillary 36%
Obama 24%
The black vote:
Obama 78%
Hillary 19%
Edwards 2%
I’m not sure there’s enough black voters to carry him in the other states, but if Edwards drops out, it’d be interesting to see how his vote split up.
