Excel Geek Thought Du Jour

Excel Geek Thought Du Jour

At work, today was the last day of the year that my corner of the company was going to be all in the office. So, of course, we decided to have our holiday lunch.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t decide where to go. We had a list of acceptable options, but no one had a strong enough preference on where to go.

So, is it wrong that I used =RAND() and =VLOOKUP() in an Excel spreadsheet to determine where we were going for lunch?

No! That’s the perfect way to remove indecisiveness.

I attempted to do that when my wife was casting her elementary school musical. She doesn’t appreciate Excel logic, however.
