Al Gore Gets the Peace Prize

Al Gore Gets the Peace Prize

It seems like the rumors were true. From a wire service story:

Former Vice President Al Gore and the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change jointly won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize Friday for their efforts to spread awareness of man-made climate change and to lay the foundations for fighting it.

Congrats Al! (Although I’m still pissed that you interrupted my AP American History exam when you toured my high school years ago.)

Meanwhile, my thoughts that Al would be best considered for a czarship, rather than as a potential Presidential candidate, seems to have legs elsewhere. From Politico:

Democrats are already buzzing about the possibility that he would get a high-level post in a Hillary Clinton administration, perhaps as a roving ambassador charged with seeking global cooperation on climate change.
