After months of dickering, it seems that the Florida State Legislature has reached some consensus on what to do about the imminent expiration of Florida’s PIP law. Seen at CBS 4:
CBS4 has learned that Florida House and Senate negotiators have reached an agreement on PIP (Personal Injury Protection) which was set to expire on Oct. 1.[...]
Among some of the reforms in the new PIP bill will be those tackling medical fraud, requiring all medical claims to be done by a doctor-owned or ‘legitimate’ clinic.
The First of October is Monday, isn’t it? I wonder if Florida’s been taking lessons in “just in time” delivery of legislation from the folks in Congress who have worked on past TRIA reauthorizations.
