Well, I have achieved my big goal of the trip—getting one day to sit outside, undisturbed, reading a book.

Early today, I had a chance to go check out the parts of the ship I hadn’t really seen yet, including taking a trek up to the Star Deck, complete with it’s 0.1 mile jogging track and miniature golf course. It was a bit breezy up there, and I’m sad to say that I didn’t have the opportunity to do much photography, seeing as how my camera lens fogged up.

I can see what others have said about these ships not seeming to be crowded (except at embarkation, muster, and disembarkation), despite the stated capacity of about 3000 passengers and 1000 crew. Still, to someone as asocial as I am, there have been several places on board that, while not crowded, have seemed very populated.

Thus, I must admit that I have thoroughly enjoyed my day of sitting in a deck chair, in the shade, listening the water moving by, reading a book.
