Well, the bags are packed, the house-sitter is installed, and the critters have been said good-bye to. And on that note, my wife and I now heading out on vacation, coming in the form of a 10-day cruise out of New York to the Caribbean.
I do have a couple of posts queued to appear through the next couple of weeks, just to keep the site active in my absence, but if you make a comment in the next couple of weeks, don’t be surprised if it sits in a moderation queue until we’re back.
However, technology being what it is, folks on cruises aren’t completely isolated from the real world. If the mood hits, I may queue up a few additional posts to transmit from San Juan or Saint Thomas, where I should briefly be online via cellular modem.
Also, I am hoping to post a couple of trip reports and perhaps some pictures during those port calls, as a way of “giving back” to the community, since I gained a lot of useful information from others’ reports when researching this vacation. Those posts will be tagged in the Cruise category. They will appear on the main page of my site, but not in the usual RSS feed. If you have a specific interest in those posts, please check out the Cruise category of the site, or a special RSS feed I’ve set up for that purpose.
