It Doesn’t Matter How Much Things Cost When You Can Print Money

The Katrina news snippet of the day comes from the Sun-Herald:

Rep. Gene Taylor, a Mississippi Democrat, wants to add wind coverage to the National Flood Insurance Program, which was created in 1968 to help homeowners living in flood-prone areas get flood insurance to complement private policies. Taylor said he did not know the cost of providing wind coverage.

You know, at most good businesses, a lapse like that would get a manager moved into a role where he/she could do little harm.

Meanwhile, it’s nice to see that those Zimbabwean-sponsored economics classes being offered to Congress are beginning to pay off.
