Delta Files For Scheduled Service From BDL to Cancun

Delta Files For Scheduled Service From BDL to Cancun

7 August 2007 · No Comments

A mailing list I’m on pointed to this DOT filing made by Delta:

Delta Air Lines, Inc. (”Delta”) hereby applies [...] for an exemption authorizing Delta to provide scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between (a) Hartford, Connecticut (BDL), and Cancun, Mexico[...]

Delta plans to commence seasonal Saturday-only service [...] on or about February 2, 2008. Hartford-Cancun service will be provided using B-737-800 configured with 134 coach seats and 16 first class seats[....]

Bradley already has seasonal service to Caribbean through quasi-scheduled charter flights, but it’s nice to see some additional international traffic, building upon the recent launch of Northwest service to Amsterdam.

But why does it have to be on that flying cattle-cart, a 737?
