This just seems so odd coming from Tom Delay:

That comes from an article at TomDelay.com regarding the approval of a permit for the construction of a nuclear power plant for the first time in the U.S. in 30ish years.
If the safety issues can be managed, I’d be inclined to agree with Delay’s point (also raised by others) regarding nuclear energy being a way to alleviate the country’s dependence on oil.
