The Reverse Limbo on Gas Prices

The Reverse Limbo on Gas Prices

20 June 2007 · No Comments

The Heritage Foundation has posted a map depicting the results of their analysis of what will happen to gas prices if an energy bill now before the Senate passes.

While I wouldn’t be surprised if the Heritage Foundation might be tempted to portray a certain bias into their analysis, and I’m uncomfortable with the lack of explanation provided, the numbers are interesting at least.

For Connecticut, the relevant figures appear to be:

  • May 2007 average: $3.21/gallon
  • 2008 projected: $3.52/gallon
  • 2016 projected: $6.52/gallon

Even if the values are tainted by fearmongering, it certainly adds to my desire to see a disability-friendly hybrid/ultra-efficient vehicle come on to the market.
