I need to apologize for the continuing instability of this site.
For reasons not yet entirely clear to me, recovering from the ISP-driven server changes last weekend has left this website running on a server that seems too heavily loaded, and unwilling to render the php required by the WordPress theme and plugins I use.
For now, I’ve switched to a simpler-to-render theme…which means that the sidebar is unfortunately going to be a bit ugly until the mess is resolved. That could be a few days, due to the other issues I mentioned earlier.
Update: The support guy at Dreamhost indicates that they’re thinking of writing a book called “When PHP Upgrades Go Bad”. They’re working on the issue. They’ve fixed enough so that I could revert back to my usual WordPress theme for now, but it looks like the photo gallery may be horked for a while longer.
