Apologies for the Downtime / Erratic Posting Days Ahead

Folks, I’d like to apologize if you’ve had trouble accessing this site over the past few days.

The web hosting provider I use periodically shifts where its subscribers’ files are stored and served from, for load balancing reasons. Unfortunately in the latest shift, they had issues with temporarily losing my home directory. Everything seems to be back now.

Also, the week ahead is a chaotic one for me. I’ve mentioned previously that my wife was disabled in a car accident a few years ago. A few months ago, we were referred to a researcher who is developing a new treatment for severe fibromyalgia and certain forms of brain damage. My wife responded well to an initial trial, and so she’s going to have surgery to implant some hardware into her body which should start her down the road to a major improvement in her condition.

The whole treatment is perhaps the best news that we’ve had in years. However, I am expecting to have my hands full in the next several days with her surgery and my mother-in-law visiting….so my posting pattern could be somewhat disrupted.

I sincerely hope that the surgery is uneventful, the recovery is quick, and the effects are all that can be hoped for.
