I ran across this bit of news in the Courant:
The Hartford Financial Group will build a $146 million campus in Windsor for its Hartford Life subsidiary, which plans to add 300 jobs over the next five years, the company said Thursday
Hartford Life, which is headquartered in Simsbury, will consolidate its Windsor and Avon offices on a new 450,000-square-foot campus. About 2,000 people will work at the new site.
That should provide a helpful bump to the town’s grand list. I’m looking forward to hearing whether this means that a mini-insurance hub is being created on Day Hill Road, or if there will be an insurance flavor added to all the construction taking place on International Drive, by the airport.
