I noticed this morning that the local water/sewer district ballot question, asking for the authority to issue $800 million in bonds to pay for sewer upgrades, has passed by a 2:1 margin.
While I agree that the upgrades are needed, I can’t help but notice that no public mention was made of how our water bills are expected to quadruple (or how property taxes will rise 10%) as a result of a “yes” vote until after election day.
