Campaign Gimmic Du Jour

As seen on Political Wire:

More than 100 people, Democrats and Republicans, waited in line at a Kentucky station for $1.20-a-gallon gas at an event by Mike Weaver (D), who is running in the 2nd congressional district against Rep. Ron Lewis (R-KY), according to the AP.

“Weaver picked $1.20 because that was the price of regular unleaded when Lewis went to Congress in 1994.”

I think this would be an excellent campaign tactic for Lamont to pursue here in CT.at least, if he’d do it at one of the gas stations up here by Bradley.
