Insurance Journal is reporting that the Mississippi wind pool has received approval to hike its rates by 90%, which is far short of the +400 they had requested.
I don’t know which is uglier - the reaction some homeowners will see when they get their renewal bills from the pool, or the knowledge that someone thinks that the pool still needs a +160% change to be adequate.
