While doing a bit of recreational surfing this morning, I came across this site: National Atlas’ Congressional District maps.
Being both a map-geek and an armchair pundit, I’ve had a bit of fun poking through the map collection. For example, it’s kind of fun poking around, looking for examples of gerrymandered districts. My “favorites” would have to be:
- Arizona 2
- California 23
- California 38
- California 39
- California 51
- Florida 3
- Florida 16
- Georgia 7
- Georgia 11
- Georgia 13
- Illinois 4
- Maryland 2
- Maryland 3
- Massachusetts 4
- New Jersey 6
- New Jersey 13
- New York 28
- North Carolina 3
- North Carolina 12
- Pennsylvania 12
- Tennessee 7
- Texas — I don’t even know where to begin. Maybe TX-10, TX-25, and TX-29. The line-drawing around the major metros, particularly Austin, is egregiously partisan.
