Continuing the international theme, I offer the following bridge:
This is the Fatih Sultan Bridge, carrying the Trans European Motorway across the Bosporous between Europe and Asia a few kilometers to the north of downtown Istanbul.
The bridge was completed in 1988, and its main span ranks among the longest bridges in the world.
If you pan to the west, you’ll see an impressive toll plaza for Asian-bound traffic as well as a short expressway tunnel. Istanbul itself, including the other Bosporus bridge can be found by panning south.
It’s not every day that you can catch a glimpse of a bridge connecting two continents.
