As Mil pointed out in a comment to my earlier post, Cindy Sheehan’s side of the story has come out. I heard her on Air America this afternoon; Mil points to a DailyKos post of Cindy’s story.
Her account sounds plausible, and is reminiscent of some of the arrests in New York around the 2004 GOP convention, where protesters were seemingly rounded up “just because” and removed from sight to a makeshift detention facility. Add in the testimony of Rep. Young on the House floor about how his wife was removed for displaying a “support our troops” t-shirt…and it becomes easy to believe.
However, there is still part of me that finds Cindy…let’s just say “capable of spinning stories in her favor”. I wonder if there have been any accounts given by others in the gallery.
