I-85/I-285 — College Park, Georgia

In honor of the 3542 mile road trip I recently took (documented in this entry), I present this week’s offering:

While it’s not as well-known as it’s northern cousin (”Tom Moreland Interchange” or “Spaghetti Junction”), this is one of my favorite interchanges in/around Atlanta. Over the span of about a mile, I-85 and I-285 run parallel, and a complex set of ramps permit traffic to move from one roadway to another, as well as to access other nearby exits (such as “National Road” in the middle of the map, or the exit for NB traffic for ATL starting in this interchange).

It’s also an interchange I drove through three times in two days during my southern trek.
