A meme going around blogs and the media appears to be CommonCensus.org’s project.
I mentioned it in my LJ awhile back — it’s a project to attempt to map out individuals’ geographic and sports allegiances in the US
It looks like they’re starting to reach critical mass, and some interesting maps have been posted.
Sadly, my attempt to stake out Poquonock as Illini territory seems to have failed.
The several instances of cities not lying in, or lying at the edge of their spheres of influence intrigue me.
