The defense of Rove in the media has focused on the idea that Rove
didn’t do anything wrong; in fact he was helping out the media by
making a member of the media aware of problems with Wilson’s
credibility.
If Rove was concerned about getting the truth out, or making sure that
the full story was illuminated….why didn’t he come out with his
nuggets of knowledge, rather than passing it along in double-secret
confidence?
