Town Budget Referendum

Town Budget Referendum

17 May 2005 · No Comments

The Town of Windsor’s budget was approved by referendum today, 1323 - 1314.

It features a bunch of spending caps, a token reduction in the mill rate…and slowing down some debt repayment.

IMO, slowing down debt repayment is not exactly the best manifestation of fiscal responsibility the town could have shown.  The desire to hold the mill rate flat (especially after last year’s revaluation fiasco) is admirable, but surely they could have cut some fluff rather than delaying the inevitable….
